The Guild of Spanish Property Professionals recognise that your privacy is important and are committed to protecting it. We therefore comply with the Data Protection Act. This document sets out our policy in relation to any personal information which you supply to us through your use of this website.
By providing your personal information through this website you agree to the collection, storage and use of your personal information by the Guild SPP in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
If we change this policy, we will post changes on this page so that you are always aware of them. By continuing to use this website after such changes have been posted you will be deemed to have accepted and consented to them, whether you revisit this page or not.
Who we are
Our Privacy notice applies to all services offered by the Guild of Spanish Property Professionals.
The information which we collect
You may browse our web site without disclosing personal data. However, if you register by completing any online forms or contact us by e-mail, we will collect the following personal information from you so that we can contact you to answer any questions you might have and to contact you at a later date to discuss membership and the benefits and services we offer:

· Postal address
· Organisation name
· Email address
· Telephone number
When you register for membership by completing a membership application form we will collect the following additional information:
· Names of your company Directors
· Your email address
When you become a member, we may also collect the following, so we can process your payments:
· Your debit or credit card number
· Expiry date and other relevant information to allow us to collect payment
How we use your personal information In addition to providing our services to you as set out above, we will also use your information for market research and credit control purposes.
We may also use this information to notify you about our services, legal developments and forthcoming events. [and training sessions or events which we believe may be of interest to you.]

How we share your personal information
If you are an Estate Agent or Developer, or similar professional within the property sector and wish to become a member of Guild SPP, we will share your personal information with the other Founding Members of the Guild of Spanish Property Professionals.
We may share your personal information with other companies in our group for any of the above purposes [and with those with whom we are co-presenting any training session or event (in which case the use by our co-presenters will be restricted to arranging and publicising the event)].
We may also share your information with business partners and suppliers with whom we may have outsourced certain of our business functions. External organisations may also conduct general audits and quality checks on us and we may share your information with those organisations as part of such audit or check. All such business partners, suppliers and external organisations are subject to confidentiality agreements in their arrangements with us.
Except in the situations listed above or as required by law or other regulation, we will not pass, disclose, rent or sell your personal information (other than any personal information which is already publicly available, and which is incorporated into our search products) to any third party without your prior written consent.
Protecting your information
We have a Data Protection Policy and strict internal procedures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, improper use, alteration, unintended destruction or other loss.
We will hold your personal information for a period of 2 years after our last communication with you.
Your information and your rights
If you are based within the EEA or within another jurisdiction having similar data protection laws, in certain circumstances you have the following rights:
· the right to be told how we use your information and obtain access to your information;
· the right to have your information rectified or erased or place restrictions on processing your information;
· the right to object to the processing of your information e.g. for direct marketing purposes;

· the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority responsible for data protection matters
If you request a copy of your information we will provide this within 1 month and we will not charge for this service unless your requests are unfounded or excessive. In the event we would not provide you with a copy of the personal data we hold about you, we will provide our reasons for refusal.
If we hold any information about you which is incorrect or if there are any changes to your details, please let us know by so that we can keep our records accurate and up to date.
If you withdraw your consent to the use of your personal information for purposes set out in our Privacy Notice, we may not be able to provide you with access to all or parts of our website, applications, and services.
We will retain your personal information for the duration of our business relationship and afterwards for as long as is necessary and relevant for our legitimate business purposes. Where we no longer need your personal information, we will dispose of it in a secure manner (without further notice to you).
Other sites and social media
If you follow a link from our website to another site or service, this notice will no longer apply. We are not responsible for the information handling practices of third party sites or services and we encourage you to read the privacy notices appearing on those sites or services.
Our websites may enable you to share information with social media sites or use social media sites to create your account or to connect your social media account. Those social media sites may automatically provide us with access to certain personal information retained by them about you (for example any content you have viewed). You should be able to manage your privacy settings from within your own third party social media account(s) to manage what personal information you enable us to access from that account.
Right to complain
You have a right to complain to the relevant Spanish authorities if you think there is a problem with the way we are handling your personal data.
